Igatpuri Fireflies (Managed by Mischief Treks)
This location is strictly managed by the official organiser Mischief Treks. Outsiders aren’t allowed to enter the firefly trail or campsite. Bookings usually close 2–3 days before the weekend. Many visitors showed up without booking and had to turn back disappointed – no entry, no fireflies, long drive wasted.

Rajmachi Fireflies
The road to Rajmachi is a vehicle killer during firefly season. A few visitors went without guidance and broke suspension or tyres on the rocky trail. One group had to call for a tow truck late at night but that too was not possible coz there are not tow-truck services on that path. If you don’t know the route or terrain, don’t risk it just to "save booking money".

Kalsubai (Trek)
Solo guy climbed at night to “see fireflies from the top”. Bad idea. Glow was way down in jungle. Saw nothing. Climbed down bruised, terrified. Lack of commonsense is your worst enemy.

Sandhan Valley (Camping + Trek)
DIY campers lit a bonfire near Samrad trail. Firefly patch nearby got disturbed. Local authority caught them. ₹5000 fine was imposed and their night was ruined.
