Hidden somewhere deep in Maharashtra’s Sahyadri belt, this location is known to very few. You won’t find reels, tags, or Instagram influencers here. What you’ll find is this — a narrow trail through the forest that begins glowing after dusk… and no one around to ruin the silence.
Between May 17 and June 22, this place turns surreal. Glow intensity here is unmatched — trees blink together, entire bushes shimmer, and forest paths light up without sound. You’ll only know the meeting point once you book — we don’t share coordinates publicly to keep it safe and untouched.
What You'll Actually Experience
A true secret trail where you and 15–20 others will experience glow untouched by light pollution or crowd
Tents pitched inside a forest pocket with firefly clusters visible 50 meters away
Silent night walk in pitch dark trail lit only by blinking fireflies and a red-filter torch (carried by trek lead)
Post-glow stargazing session and a hot local dinner cooked over firewood
A feeling that’s too pure to post about — most visitors don’t even want to share stories, they just come back next year
How is the Stay and Food?
The setup is old-school and forest-safe. Minimal lights, zero plastic, and total silence post 9PM. Your tent is placed by the locals before arrival. You’ll be provided essentials — mat, blanket, pillow, and basic battery lanterns. No sound system. No distraction. Just stars and glow.
Stay: Twin or triple-sharing tents. Private tents on request.
Toilets: Dry-pit format maintained by locals. Torch needed at night. BYO wipes.
Food: Hot home-cooked veg thali with rice/roti/sabzi. Egg add-on possible if pre-booked. No oily junk.
Drinking Water: Refills available at camp base via sealed cans.
📅 Glow Timeline – When to See Maximum Fireflies
This trail is like a ritual. The glow starts slow, builds up like a storm in silence, and then dissolves into mist after heavy monsoon. Here's what to expect:
Phase
Dates
Glow Level
Experience
🌱 Early Glow
May 12 – May 18
😐 Medium
Flickers on lower bushes. Best visible on quieter nights and weekdays.
🌟 Peak Glow
May 20 – June 20
🔥 Very High
Thousands of fireflies blink on both sides of trail. Trees shimmer in sync. Looks like a dream sequence.
🌧️ Fading Glow
June 22 – June 30
😕 Low
If heavy rain begins, glow decreases. But dry pockets still hold firefly activity in bursts.
Campsites For Fireflies
Below are the campsites where the firefly magic is truly visible. You can pick the one that matches your vibe.
Eco Firefly Camp
Closest to Lake. Famous for wide firefly glow zone + sunrise view.
Answer: That’s part of the secret. We only disclose coordinates to confirmed participants via WhatsApp post-booking. It’s in Maharashtra, close to a forest reserve, but protected from over-tourism.
How do I reach there?
Answer: Once you book, you’ll get an entry point pin. All participants meet at a pre-decided location where a trek lead escorts you to basecamp.
Is this safe for kids?
Answer: Kids above 8 can join with parental supervision. It's not risky, but the path has forest terrain — not stroller friendly.
Is there electricity or charging?
Answer: No electricity. This location is purposefully dark. Carry battery-powered lights and a full powerbank.
Can I tell my friends about this?
Answer: Yes, but we suggest you don’t post photos/videos until the season ends — help us keep this secret alive.
